Magic Gaming Sweeps Rim Runners to Reach SWITCH OPEN Finals

The Lead: Ever since Magic Gaming fell short in the SLAM OPEN finals to Lakers Gaming, they’ve been eager to get their revenge. Now, Orlando will get its chance. After sweeping Rim Runners in the semifinals, Magic Gaming will now face Lakers Gaming in the SWITCH OPEN winner’s bracket finals on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET.

Game 1: In what’s become not just a trend, but a staple of Magic Gaming’s season, Orlando got off to a hot start in the series with a 23-15 win over Rim Runners.

Magic Gaming point guard Joshua “unguardable” Hunter posted game highs in points (11) and assists (four), while small forward Julian “Jboolin” Manzanares knocked down the contest-clinching triple and finished with 10 points.

“We’re trying to progress this season and show that we’re the team we’re supposed to be,” said Jboolin. “We feel like we’re the best team. So, we’ve been coming out strong and trying to prove it.”

Game 2: Ashton “LowkeyGodlike” Agredano is not just one of the best shooting big men in the league. He’s one of the best pure shooters period. That was on on full display in the second contest of the series as LowkeyGodlike went a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor and 2-for-2 from distance to propel Magic Gaming to a 22-16 victory.

“Realistically, he’s probably the best shooter in the world,” said unguardable of his teammate. “He plays on the hardest shooting position, and he’s still the best shooter. So, I’m sure if he was playing (guard), he’d shoot just as well, if not better. Realistically, he’s one of the best shooters, if not the best shooter in the world.”

Unguardable tallied 10 points and four dimes.

Game 3: With a chance to sweep Rim Runners in sight, Magic Gaming brought out the brooms. Orlando used a well-balanced effort to claim a 22-15 triumph and the series.

Unguardable tallied 10 points and four assists, Jboolin scored six, and LowkeyGodlike tallied six points, three boards, and three dimes.
