Magic Gaming Falls to Bucks Gaming

Magic Gaming led after each of the first three quarters. The same couldn’t be said when the final horn sounded.

A 9-2 run by Bucks Gaming to start the fourth was fused with a go-ahead breakaway layup from Aaron “Game6Drake” Rookwood with 29.7 seconds remaining, as Milwaukee’s squad rallied for a 67-61 victory on Saturday.

The Magic staged a furious comeback of their own down the stretch when Emmanuel “UCMANNY” Cruz connected on a layup and Bilal “SUPREME PULLER” Almashni followed with a game-tying 3-pointer with 45.6 seconds left.

A couple of costly turnovers, including a steal that led to Game6Drake’s big shot, denied the Magic from reclaiming the lead, however.

Jorge “marley213s” Renteria and UCMANNY led four Magic players in double figures with 14 points apiece. Christopher “KontruL” Cantrell and SUPREME PULLER, who combined to make six of the Magic’s seven threes, each had 12 points.

All of Cameron “KingCamRoyalty” Ford’s made field goals were dunks, and the 20-year-old from Cleveland filled up the stat sheet with nine points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks.

Jovan “BigMeek” Tenner led the Bucks with 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Timothy “oLARRY” Anselimo posted 18 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field.

The loss snapped Magic Gaming’s three-game regular season winning streak. It had won four in a row when it knocked out Kings Guard Gaming in the opening round of the mid-season tournament.

The Magic will look to bounce back when they match up with 76ers GC on Friday, June 22 at 6 p.m. ET.
